  • On the security side

Always burn candles away from drafts, other heat sources and any flammable objects. Make sure lit candles are out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

To prevent memory rings from melting

As with all candles, the first combustion is the most important. To begin, candles should burn one hour for every inch of diameter of the actual size of the candle. Therefore, the 120g candle must last at least 2 to 2.5 hours and the Signature candle at least 4 to 5 hours to liquefy the entire upper layer of wax. If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or melt from one side of the jar or cup to the other, it will create a "memory ring", especially if it is the first time the candle is lit . Once a candle has this "memory ring", it will continue to tunnel and burn in this way for the life of the candle.

Keep the bit trimmed to 6mm at all times

We suggest trimming the wick every 4 hours of burn time. When trimming the wick, you should always extinguish the flame, allow the candle to return to room temperature and trim the wick to 5-6mm before relighting.

    The particularities of wooden wicks

Wood wicks sometimes require double lighting on both sides of the cherry wick. During the first melting the flames can be impressive until the wick joins the wax. Subsequently, if the wick is too long, the wax will not have time to melt and will go out. The wooden wick needs contact with the wax when lighting. It’s normal, wood is different from a wick of cotton. You need to check the length of your wick and light the wick again.
