  • SAFETY : Always burn candles away from drafts, other heat sources and any flammable objects. Make sure lit candles are out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a lit candle unattended.

To prevent memory rings from melting

As with all candles, the first burn is the most important. To start, candles should burn one hour for every 1 inch in diameter of the candle's actual size. Therefore, the 120g candle should last at least 2-2.5 hours and the Signature candle at least 4-5 hours to liquefy the entire top layer of wax. If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or melt from one edge of the jar or tumbler to the other, it will create a "memory ring", especially if it is the first time the candle has been lit . Once a candle has this "memory ring", it will continue to tunnel and burn that way for the life of the candle.

Keep the wick trimmed to 6mm at all times

We suggest trimming the wick every 4 hours of burn time. When trimming the wick you should always extinguish the flame, allow the candle to come to room temperature and trim the wick to 5-6mm before relighting.

    The particularities of wood wicks

Wood wicks sometimes require double lighting on both sides of the cherry wood wick. During the first melting the flames can be impressive the time that the wick joins the wax. Subsequently, if the wick is too long the wax will not have time to melt and will turn off. The wood wick needs contact with the wax when lighting. It's normal, wood is different from a cotton wick. You need to check the length of your wick and light the wick again.
